Sugar Calle Bakeshop was born in Puerto Rico out of a moment that could have broken me, but instead, it gave me permission to finally do what I'd always loved. After being laid off, I made a choice: to start fresh, to start with a purpose, and to start with flour on my hands.
Baking has been my passion for as long as I can remember. It was never just a hobby - it was the thing that made me feel most like myself. So when life handed me a blank page, I filled it with coffee cakes, biscottis, sweet loaves and everything that belongs next to a warm cup of coffee.
And in Puerto Rico, coffee is everything. It's how we start our mornings, how we catch up with family, how we slow down when the world won't. At Sugar Calle, we bake with that ritual in mind- every sweet loaf, every cookie, every slice is made to be that companion to your cup. The thing that makes a quiet morning feel complete.
Everything is made by hand, by me, with care - and delivered straight to you. No storefront, no shortcuts. Just honest baking, made with love, and a story worth tasting.
